Ramblers 2-0 Bray
¡§A¡¨ League Home vs Bray Wanderers Sunday 28-09-08
Result: Ramblers 2 ¡V 0 Bray
Rams recorded their second victory over Bray Wanderers in this game played in ideal conditions. Ramblers fielded a strong eleven for this encounter, with only 4 members from the previous weeks game away to Galway making the starting eleven, Bray also fielded a strong 11 with a number of their first team squad included in the team. The game itself was played at a fast pace, with great football being played by both sides, much to the enjoyment of the watching spectators. Bray were first to test the goalkeeper with O¡¦Keefe testing Fennelly. Rams then forced a smart save from O¡¦Connor when Kearney fired in a low drive. Ramblers took the lead when on 25 mins when Meade bundled the ball home following a Deady cross. Rams went in one up at half time and within 5 mins of the restart had doubled the lead when McBride bursting in from the left fired an unstoppable shot past the Bray keeper. The nearest any side came to another goal was on 82 mins when Bray¡¦s Onnubiko saw his shot come back off the upright and into Fennelly¡¦s hands and Rams saw out the remaining minutes comfortably.
